The termoprocedure uses the released minerals and medicinal substances of peat. The immediate effects of the hyperthermic peat wrap are pain relief and enhanced mobility. Among the typical effects of the peat wrap, we find increased blood flow in the area wrapped, released muscle tension, softening of tissue, and the stimulation of specific and nonspecific immune reactions.

Further indications for the application of heat treatment are inflammatory diseases of the locomotor system caused by degeneration or injury, respiratory diseases, diseases of the circulatory system, digestive tract disorders, metabolic diseases and urological, neurological and gynecological diseases.
